Why is it called Heavenly Weather?
To live is to be immersed in psychic and physical mediums through which mysterious phenomena happen at us, raining on us from unreachable places. Light percolates onto the eye from ancient and distant stars and we know something of our origins.
Weather is chaotic, which is to say it cannot reasonably be predicted. It will always be unknowable in some way—it will never happen for a specific reason—and it reminds us of the limits of physical science. A chaotic phenomena is one that has enshrouding darkness at its beginning and in all its emanations. Despite it all, there are some particularly fruitful scientific ways to think about the weather.
Weather defines Earth. Look from space down on our darling cloud-cradled marble. Our precious climatological situation is the precondition of all biology. Weather then, is the precondition of life.
Weather is a phenomenon that happens in the interior mental world as much as exterior world. Rain, sun, snow, wind—all set our moods and outlooks as much as they effect our bodies. When it rains, thinking and feeling take on a new qualitative feeling. This is an aspect of weather maybe shared only by sound.
You must bow with the wind—or break. All weather is heaven-sent and enacts an uncalculable heavenly rule. We will always be subject to forces beyond us that we fruitlessly disagree with. The challenge is to keep moving, to live with them. We can never overcome the weather—and the more we try, the more we invite our self-destruction. God or No God—isn't this the essence of a mystic worldview?
Besides, anthing can be a kind of weather.
